LIFE CHANGING COUNSEL | My first session with Mark was right after lunch and I remember walking into his office and seeing his Bible open on his desk. I remember thinking that he must have been reading it on his lunch break. To my surprise as I began telling him my story, he constantly referred to it. He knew verses that applied to almost everything I told him. He knew exactly where they were, and most he knew by heart.
Throughout my counseling sessions, the Bible was integral to all that we worked on. The belief in the power of the Word of God to heal, guide, and instruct was obvious. I would often be given verses to learn and even memorize, and I was encouraged to meditate on them so that I not only had them in my head but I had them in my heart. Now when I am struggling with something, I not only have verses memorized but they have become a lifeline for me: guiding me back to Jesus, my Savior, the One who is greater than me.
I have done a lot of counseling over the course of my life but none of it has been as effective as the work I did through Hope For Life. I know the difference was the foundation of the counseling philosophy, God, and His Word of truth. By focusing on the Bible and not on counseling theories, Mark helps guide others to the truth, which is so much more powerful than a philosophy.
The work I did through Hope For Life not only helped me with my day to day struggles but, more importantly, it strengthened my relationship with God and increased my faith in Him.

THE COST OF COUNSELING
How much does counseling cost? It is not uncommon for counselors–Christian or otherwise–to charge $100 to $150, and even up to $200 for each meeting. This can quickly add up to thousands of dollars for just one person. Hope For Life, however, has no fees or cost. We never charge for counseling from God’s Word. Instead, we are supported by donations only, and the partnership of other like-minded believers and friends.
Furthermore, every year Hope For Life is blessed to be able to minister to many who cannot afford to give anything at all. Of course, it’s easy see why we absolutely cannot do this alone.
The ministry of Hope For Life is a partnership with the body of Christ, and fully dependent upon God and His Word. If you have a heart for God’s Word, and for helping hurting people, marriages, and families, would you consider supporting Hope For Life on a regular basis?
